The Science & Discovery Center (SDC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1994. It had a drop-in site and outreach science programs from 1995 until 2005 when the Board decided to close the center and concentrate on outreach science education only. The SDC is presently providing the following services to eleven school districts in the Southern Tier of New York State. SDC also offers summer science programs on two college campuses, after school programs and collaborates with other organizations such as libraries and at community events.

Each school year SDC reaches between 15,000 and 20,000 students with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) programs.
