Career Development Council, Inc.
The Career Development Council (CDC) is a community partnership with business, industry and education. Staff provides career exploration activities for students and educators in order to enhance classroom learning and ensure future workplace success for students.
Program: Architectural Awareness
The Architectural Awareness Program was designed to give middle school students an opportunity to work directly with teacher mentors and professional architects to make real world connections to what they are learning in school. Students develop leadership skills, improve academic skills, learn to problem-solve and to work as a team. They research and build a 3-D model of their community re-use project to present at a culminating celebration.
