Program: FULL STEAHM AHEAD
The Corning Community College Development Foundation was established in 1982 to support the interests of the college by soliciting, receiving and managing assets in order to contribute to the long term range goals, objectives, and success of the college. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised funds to support student scholarships, capital improvements and programming.
The primary goal of the Full STEAHM Ahead Program is to increase the number of women in STEM careers by sparking interest in girls using a workshop model that explores science, technology engineering, art, health and math. Conducted at the Corning Community College campus, two week-long summer camps are held for approximately 50 girls, one week for 4-5th ganders, the other week for 7th and 8th graders.
